Phones make long articles harder: small screens, notification interruptions, and awkward zooming. SimplRead’s slide reader keeps one short chunk on screen so you can finish a newsletter on the train without losing your place. History syncs with Chrome and the web app when you use the same login.

Install

Four steps — takes about a minute.

Download simplread.apk using the button above.
On your phone, open the file from Downloads.
If prompted, allow installs from unknown sources for your browser or file manager.
Open SimplRead and sign in with the same account as simplread.com.

Share from other apps

From Chrome, news apps, or messaging apps, tap Share and choose SimplRead. Shared text or URLs open ready to simplify. This is the fastest path when someone sends you a long link in chat.

What you need

A SimplRead account (free signup on the website)
Hosted tokens or your own API key in Settings
A network connection to simplify new articles

Credits and purchases on Android

Free monthly hosted tokens and BYOK work the same as on the web. Credit packs purchased in-app use Google Play Billing and credit the same server balance you see at simplread.com. Details: BYOK vs hosted tokens and the FAQ.
